Hollyhock Window

Date

Spring 2019

Role

Designer and Fabricator

Location

Anthropologie Deer Park, IL

The Spring 2019 windows at Anthropologie were inspired spring flower fields and were to showcase an artful abundance of hand crafted flowers that were amped up in scale yet now oversized.
The goal for this composition should be to feel an artfully arranged abundance in your window space. Think abundant, contained, organic, and delicate.
All hollyhock flowers were handmade from heavy crepe paper that was then sprayed for color variation. The flowered were later added to sturdy stalks made from crepe paper covered pipe.
This display got to live on after the season. One of the great things about Anthropologie displays is that we always try to either reuse them in another season, repurpose them into another display or they can be "donated".
This display was donated for re use to Victoria Hardy for the RNDD (River North Design District) Gallery Walk on September 6th! If you have never heard of the walk before, it is a special event comprised of over 30 different showrooms throughout River North in Chicago. Not only was this event exciting to be a part of, but it also partnered with Build On, and a portion of the proceeds will go to helping children in developing countries as well as the U.S
