I was the properties designer for Chopin Theatre's production of the musical "1776".
All props and set dressing (including the linen for tablecloths) were sourced from companies that specialized in historical reenactment.
Especially important were paper props, quills, ink pots and sand shakers. I made multiple versions of all of the paper props since they were handled by the actors during the entirety of the show.
