Heartbreak House

For Berkshire Theatre Festival's production of "Heartbreak House" all of the furniture was reupholstered with sail canvas. Jeff Cowie ( the scenic designer) wanted it to look like everything was covered in old ship sails since the lead character in the show was a retired ship's captain. Details such as grommets, welts and ties were added in. Afterwards everything was distressed to look worn by the se and the sun.
